The internet can be empowering, but also risky without the right knowledge. Whether you're a teen, adult, or guardian, understanding how to stay safe online is critical. Create long, unique passwords using a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols. Avoid reusing the same password across platforms. Use a password manager if possible.
Phishing scams attempt to steal your data through fake emails, links, or messages. Be cautious of anything that asks for sensitive info or urges “urgent” action. Verify sources directly.
Always check and customize your privacy settings on social media and apps. Limit who can view your posts, tag you, or access your location and personal data.
Think before you share. Avoid posting personal information like your address, school, or travel plans. Once it's online, it can be hard to control who sees it, or how it's used.
